The Federation Council has reacted to Erdogan’s words, who promised to help return Crimea to Ukraine

A member of the Federation Council Frants Klintsevich commented on the words of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who promised to support Ukraine in its claims on the Crimea. Moscow has already made the relevant findings, said the MP.

Russia received another confirmation that the “friendship” with Turkey has certain limits and is rather arbitrary. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Committee on defense and security Frants Klintsevich, writes news Agency Regnum.

The Senator is confident that the Turkish leader will not go beyond “official” statements about the support of Ukraine on the Crimean issue. Erdogan understands, “what in this case runs the risk,” said Klintsevich, Recalling that Russian-Turkish relations began to improve.

“But words are not always an empty phrase. The impression that the Turkish President, figuratively speaking, trying to perform on the same piano several parties”, — said the Chairman of the Committee. Klintsevich expressed confidence that the Russian foreign Ministry has already drawn attention to the statement of Erdogan, “making the appropriate conclusions”.

Earlier it was reported that Erdogan on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in new York met with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. The head of Turkey promised to provide Kiev support in the issue of restoration of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic.

Erdogan also assured the Ukrainian President that the Turkish government will not change its position “not to recognize the annexation of the Crimea and condemning violations of the rights of Crimean Tatars, despite the warming of relations with Moscow.
