Erdogan accused the Syrian authorities of disrupting the truce


Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Damascus in the breakdown of the ceasefire in Syria, saying that the humanitarian convoy of the UN at Aleppo was attacked by government troops. This view he expressed at the UN General Assembly.

Earlier, the defense Ministry denied the information that the Syrian air force bombed a convoy.

Erdogan also commented on the operation in the North of Syria, noting that the value of the territorial integrity of neighbouring countries. According to him, the aim of the Turkish troops was the release of border areas from terrorists.

“We don’t claim to foreign territory, and no one should covet. Our operation Shield of the Euphrates is of great importance for stability and security in the region”, – stressed Erdogan.
