Recall now the country has a unified income tax, amounting to 13% regardless of how much a citizen earns. Thus, according to experts, the real level of tax burden is much more, because, in addition to 13%, with citizens collect different premiums for purchases, they pay the VAT etc. Thus, the hidden tax in Russia according to various estimates, can exceed 50% of wages.

Naryshkin in an interview, going on the website of “Komsomolskaya Pravda” said that in his personal opinion, it’s time to move on to a progressive scale of taxation, where the more a person earns money, the more he has to pay taxes.

“I think,” said Naryshkin, – we can think about the introduction of different levels of taxation depending on income. But need to be considered – not will we lose as a result of such measures.”

He explained that the rate of 13% was introduced in order to accustom citizens to pay taxes, as many of them believed that a tax is “their gift to the state.”

Now, according to the Deputy, the collection of taxes has reached the steady level, which can be improved.

We will remind that earlier today, “Vedomosti” reported on the Finance Ministry’s proposal to increase contributions for insurance premiums of workers receiving more than 700 thousand rubles a year, thus slightly reducing these charges for earning less. In addition, the Finance Ministry also proposed to discuss the VAT increase, which, however, the newspaper deemed the measure put forward by a specially in order to abandon it, taking first.
