The first official statement of the leadership of Yabloko made at half past one night, when the CEC processed a quarter of the ballots and number of votes for “Yabloko” was 1.4%. Grigory Yavlinsky began by thanking the millions of voters. He noted that the interest that the party gains in Moscow and St. – Petersburg “speak volumes”: in some areas in the capitals of the “Yabloko” took the second place after United Russia”, gaining more than 15% of the vote. “But it seems that the state Duma will remain the same,” suggested the politician. According to Yavlinsky, this situation promises us a “very difficult times, a policy of isolation and economic decline”.
“We assumed that there will be results, but we wanted to see the other,” said Yavlinsky. He added that during the election campaign the party said all that considered the most important, including on the issue of Ukraine and Crimea.

Despite the results, the party will continue its activities. Grigory Yavlinsky will participate in the presidential elections in 2018. The Chairman of the party Emilia Slabunov explained that, in addition to the preparations for the presidential elections, “Yabloko” seriously engaged in party building, strengthening party organizations in the regions and the Union of democratic forces around itself. “We have created the basis for the new “Apple” – she said. Kabanova added that the party intends to participate in the elections in the regions.

“You still think that in Russia it is possible to change something through elections?”, – asked the party leadership’s foreign correspondent.
