Putin called the victory “an United Russia” in the Duma elections


The President of Russia Vladimir Putin commented on the results of the elections to the State Duma, the results of which United Russia gained more than 50 percent of the votes. According to the head of the state, this result suggests that citizens trust the party and the government.

Vladimir Putin also suggested that the results of the vote were the people’s reactions to sanctions and attempts to destabilize the country from outside, reports TASS.

The head of state noted that it is necessary to take into account the opinion of all political forces, including those that have not passed in Parliament. Putin also expressed hope for the consolidated work of the government and the new Duma.

At the moment, “United Russia” scored 54,10% of the vote, the Communist party — 13,41%, LDPR — of 13.24%. For “Fair Russia” voted of 6.19% of the population.
