The Tribunal of the court of justice clarified the issue of sanctions against Yanukovych


The Tribunal of the Court of justice on Thursday issued a press release in which it stated partial support for three of Ukrainians on the issue introduced in their relation to freezing of assets. We are talking about the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, his elder son Alexander and former head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Andrei Klyuev. Ultimately, the court declared illegal sanctions against them for the period from 6 March 2014 to 5 March 2015.

On the other hand Tribunal confirmed the legality of freezing their assets in the period from 6 March 2015 to 6 March 2016.

The decision can be appealed in the EU Court.
