Putin made a televised address about the state Duma elections

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on Thursday with a televised address to the Russians about the upcoming September 18 elections to the state Duma of the Russian Federation.

The head of state noted that he expects to responsible, informed civic position of Russians in the elections. However, he noted that all interested in the fact that in the state Duma came a vigorous, decent and honest people.

The President stressed that all participants of the election campaign in Russia was created equal conditions for fair competition.

Vladimir Putin also wished the new members of the state Duma was ready to be “United in defending the interests of Russia.
