“The responsibility for the agreement on Syria lies on Russia and the United States – said the Deputy Iranian Minister, speaking to reporters. – Iran will approve of any plan that will contribute to the settlement in Syria and the fight against terrorism. Any plan that would pave the way for an inter-Syrian dialogue and for determining the future of Syria, Iran will be welcome. It all depends on the implementation of the paragraphs of this agreement.”
“The crisis has no military solution – said Ansari. And need through dialogue to reach a political solution. This is the basic principle on which pays attention to Iran. Another principle is the need for a comprehensive counter extremism, which is not only a problem of the countries-participants of the conflict, but also the countries of the region and the international community. We believe that the instrumental use of terrorism, which has turned into a policy of regional and global players, wrongly, because it will have lasting results. Tactical use of terrorism in one region of the world will have consequences for the world.”
Another principle, according to Iran’s Deputy foreign Minister, is that “no foreign player can not make a decision for the people of the region”. So, commenting on the military operation of Turkey in Syria, Ansari explained that “any action beyond the borders of Turkey and any other point shall be carried out in accordance with international standards and in coordination with the Central government”.
The need to preserve the sovereignty and integrity of countries, Iran’s Deputy foreign Minister drew attention to the issue with the Syrian Kurds. “The Kurds are one of the integral parts of our region, – said Ansari. – In connection with the Kurds, there are two principles to which we adhere, is the implementation of the civil rights of all Kurds and the inadmissibility of the division of countries and changing borders. The Kurds are the owners of their lands and citizens of their countries. They should enjoy full civil rights. In Iran the Kurds are part of the native peoples of the Iranian nation. There is no separation between the Kurds and other peoples in Iran”.
Recall that, according to unofficial sources, Iran involved in the Syrian conflict at the level of the special forces. On the side of the forces of the Damascus fighting fighters of the Islamic revolutionary guard Corps. On the support for the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Iran spends, according to various estimates, up to $ 6 billion a year.
