If you want to know what they are doing, the artists are slightly over 35 (they’re not young, and not fall into the scope of every youth Biennale, awards, exhibitions, but also to compete with the art masters them earlier) — you are definitely in the center of creative industries “Fabrika”. Yesterday there was opened the exhibition season from six projects, each of which is at the intersection of art.

In the “Factory” along the artists, designers, filmmakers, dancers, musicians, animators and everyone else working as a production technical paper factory “October” that exists in Perevedenovsky lane already in 1930). So you can imagine why the local atmosphere is reminiscent of the creative chaos in dilapidated premises. But, as practice shows the last world Biennale, textured in such circumstances, the artist reveals to the fullest, without fear of discouraging his experiments to mess with the luxury space.
Sure, I was looking at the installation “Yesterday I dreamed of lightning” by Marina Fomenko. She settled in the Studio, where the brick walls sometimes crumble, by swarms of mice. Here they are hanging on the beams that lie in the holes multiply. The author of the project wanted to create the feeling of danger from growing in our lives of electronic waste. Computer mouse multiply as rapidly as rodents, videosrate which exacerbates the sense of danger”. By the way, the installation is interactive: anyone can bring and run it in computer mice.
Marina Fomenko — participant of “Factory workshops”, launched by the center to help artists Mature age. They and your competition is, the jury (critics, art historians, curators, including Elena Kuprina-Lyakhovich) which chose three winners. Among them — Alexander Batalov with the project “Souvenir shop” From Russia to Rossia” on state symbols of our country, but not brands such as matryoshkas, Khokhloma vodka. Everything here is for intellectuals: notes of the ballet “Swan lake”, florid “AZ” and “Yat” from “the Word about Igor’s regiment”, disused, the image of Tatiana Samoilova in the role of Anna Karenina, a hatchet, alluding to the painful questions of the hero of Dostoevsky…
In the next room Paul Grishina, where he presented the multimedia installation “the Death in the ice”, all too easy. Amid the ice floes panel barricades are piled, and on these screens with abstract video crimson tones. Sounds like Communist music. All this, as I’m sure the author refers to the Soviet utopia. But without the explanatory note at the entrance to the room, the viewer will not guess about the intentions of the artist.
Finally, the third winner was Alexey Rumyantsev “Reconstruction 4.0”. It is a scaffolding that stretched over the factory length and breadth, taking with her three floors. Design of slomljena forests and devoid of the standard view resembles a snake, devouring everything in its path. And refers to thoughts about what is happening in Moscow, the change due to overwhelming urban development.
