China opposed unilateral sanctions against the DPRK


The corresponding statement was made by Minister of foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi, in discussing this issue with foreign Minister Fumio Kishida.

“The Chinese authorities support the position of the other members of the UN Security Council to react to alarm events on the Korean Peninsula. However, China opposes unilateral sanctions will not help solve existing problems… can’t leave the attempts to start negotiations with the DPRK,” – said the Minister.
