Talk about it: Embodied the Conscience of Literature. In worn rabbit-fur hat, in thin Palace, he did not attach importance to material, was to asceticism, to spiritual transparency. When we last met and I asked him about health, he first complained:

— Bad, the namesake…

But no leniency was not looking. Noticeably limping when walking (consequences of wounds), kept the foot on weight when sitting down (not bent), it even out of the hospital was away on the evening of memory of friends. If any of the latter-day researchers were sloppy or rude towards the deceased, Andrei Mikhailovich immediately stood up for the truth. Supported young. Was the permanent Chairman of the “book Club in the TSDL. The author of the books about the Unit, Twardowski, Saltykov-Sedrine, Z, Kustodiev, Levitan, countless articles and a memoir volume, “What was at century,” he could recite poetry for hours, never having lost and never forgetting a single word.

Hard to realize that you will not be able to see, to talk, to listen to his memories. Bright memory to You, Andrew M.!

Farewell to A. M. Morkovin will be held in the Central house of writers.
