Perhaps, none of the Russian musical theatre did not open its season in such an intriguing setting. The performance of “La Boheme” shrouded in an aura of scandal about plagiarism. The role of Rodolfo for the premiere was performed by Najmiddin Mavlyanov, for which the appearance on the stage was not the most successful in life. Health status did not allow the singer to demonstrate fully their extraordinary vocal capabilities. And yet the will power and artistry of the tenor won a bad feeling. His partner Tatiana ryaguzova was very expressive and touching as Mimi. The Director Robert Carson, which can be radical, and may surprise the careful and reverent attitude to the author’s meaning, in this case, successfully combined both principles. His “La Boheme” is far from domestic realism: is a poetic and very estetizirovat the story of a young and frivolous people for whom poverty is a reason for jokes, freedom precious as love, and death — illogical interchange, which simply has no place in their Bohemian flutter of life. That is why the performance is much irony, musiclover techniques. The death of Mimi in the finale becomes a complete surprise for the characters. And even a sophisticated audience that knows that everything will end as it is impossible more tragic experiences this death as something wrong, absurd — as if the intruders from another genre.

My work at the Mikhailovsky theatre is no influence — I have a contract until 2020 as the artistic Director of the theatre. With regard to Novosibirsk, the minimum six months, I’m going to be in their offices, and there we will see how the law will allow me to be a CEO, what I would like. But if the law won’t allow it, then I will be the first person in our country who will be stepping down from the post through a bankruptcy.
