Russian foreign Ministry: Ukraine’s attempt to issue an ultimatum on the elections is ludicrous


The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia criticized the stance of the Ukrainian authorities, which had linked the possibility of holding elections to the state Duma of the Russian Federation on its territory with the abolition of voting in the Crimea. Moscow considers the decision of Kiev “violation of decency” and, considering as an attempt to deprive residing in the country of the Russians inalienable right to expression.

“As for the attempts of the Kiev authorities to put Russia the ultimatum, to link the opening of polling stations in Ukraine with the elections in the Russian Crimea, they are ridiculous,” – said in a statement the foreign Ministry.

The Russian foreign Ministry also believe that the way Kiev deliberately goes to the aggravation of bilateral relations.
