“Transneft” plans by 2018 to reduce petroleum products exports through the Baltic ports to zero, said the head of the company Nikolai Tokarev at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, this year the volume of transshipment of oil products through the ports of the region fell almost twice — from 9 to 5 million tons.
“We are going to upload your ports because there is a surplus of capacity,” – said the head of “Transneft”. Flows will be redirected from the Latvian Ventspils and Riga in the Russian ports of Primorsk and Ust-Luga and Novorossiysk. He noted that this was done on behalf of the government.
