A team of researchers found in one of the bays of the Arctic, the legendary British ship “Terror”, the crew of which in 1845, the expedition officer John Franklin went in search of a Northern route from the Atlantic to the Pacific. According to The Guardian, the discovery was made using a remote-controlled submarine in 96 kilometers to the South where, as expected, could be the ship.
The ship itself lies on the seabed at a depth of 24 meters. It is well preserved, telling the researchers: in particular, a metal plating of a vessel which had to withstand the pressure of Arctic ice. In the cabins, the researchers found empty shelves, tables, a jar of canned food and two bottles of wine.
