The Ukrainian foreign Ministry issued a statement on the elections in the state Duma of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. Recall that earlier Poroshenko instructed the foreign Ministry to inform Moscow that in Ukraine such an election is impossible.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine, in turn, said about the impossibility of holding elections in the premises of diplomatic and consular missions. So Director of policy and communications of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry Oleksiy Makeyev reported that Russia and its diplomatic missions must respect the Ukrainian legislation as your country of residence and not to use their premises for purposes incompatible with the applicable legislation of Ukraine and international treaties to which parties are Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
According to Makeyev, Kiev has appealed to the Russian side demanding not to hold elections in Crimea.
Now in a new statement said that the voting in the premises of the Russian diplomatic missions in Ukraine possible, but only in the case of “refusal of the Russian side of the elections in the occupied territories of Ukraine”. Thus, according to Kiev, Russia should not conduct the elections to the state Duma in Crimea.
Also Kiev has demanded to remove from elections of candidates included in regional groups “in the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine”.
