“Golden lion” at the Venice film festival went to Filipino Director Diaz


73 best film th Venice international film festival was the picture of Filipino Director Lav Diaz “the Woman who left.” Diaz is not only the Director of the film, but also a cameraman and editor.

The “silver lion,” received a Russian Director Andrei Konchalovsky for his film “Paradise”. Another Director, received the prize for best Director was the Mexican Amat Escalante for his film “the wilderness”. The Grand Prix was awarded to Director Tom Ford for the film “Nocturnal animals”.

73-th international Venice film festival took place from 31 August to 10 September on the Lido island. In the main program of the event included 20 films.
