The candidate in US presidents from Republican party, Donald trump said that if he were at the head of the state in those days, he would have made the capture of Osama bin Laden before the attacks of 11 September 2001.
“I have pursued a more hard-line approach to counter terrorism. Bin Laden would have caught a long time ago, long before its removal and before the collapse of the world trade center,” trump said in the statement to supporters in Cleveland, Ohio.
The politician also rejected accusations from their rivals from the camp of Democrats, former Secretary of state Hillary Clinton that in 2002, in an interview, he expressed support for the invasion of Iraq, reports TASS.
According to trump, he opposed the us invasion of Iraq to overthrow Saddam Hussein in 2003, when the war began.
