The United States sent Iran $ 1.7 billion in cash after the release of the Americans


US authorities sent three times to Iran the planes with real money after the release of some American prisoners. In total, the States provided the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran $ 1.7 billion in cash.

Funds were provided in Swiss francs, euros and other foreign currencies. The Obama administration was subjected to harsh criticism because of this operation.

“According to officials in the U.S. Congress, which held briefings, state Department officials, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of justice, after delivering $400 million in cash to Iran in January, authorities over the next 19 days undertook two others are sending $1.3 billion,” writes The Wall Street Journal.
