The Czech Republic has refused to place on its territory the representative office of the DNI and LC


Prime Minister of Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka during the meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Groysman assured the latter that their country will not operate a diplomatic mission in the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics. Recently, the media reported that in the Czech city of Ostrava opened its doors to the “honorary Consulate” DNR.

“Volodymyr Groysman also raised the issue of concerns of Ukraine through the opening of the so-called “honorary consulates DNR” in the Czech town of Ostrava”, – stated in the message on the website of the Ukrainian government.

In turn Sobotka assured that the institution cannot be considered diplomatic. According to him, on the territory of the Czech Republic will not work on official diplomatic mission of the breakaway republics of Donbass.

We will note that earlier the Ukrainian foreign Ministry has sent a note to Prague in connection with confirmation of information about registration in Ostrava “honorary consulates”.

However, “diplomats” DNR in the Czech Republic never hid the fact that you are a non-profit organization.

As told by the Director and “honorary Consul” nella Lescova, the main purpose of their office is to convey to EU citizens the truth about what is happening in the Donbass. She also recalled that Ostrava and Donetsk are cities.
