The Council of Europe requires from Ukrainian authorities to investigate attack on “inter”

The requirement was voiced by the official representative of the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe thorbjørn Jagland.

“All member States of the Council of Europe, including Ukraine, are obliged to guarantee the freedom of the press and safety of journalists as a prerequisite for the development of genuine diplomacy. Therefore, the Council of Europe urges the authorities of Ukraine to investigate the attack on the Studio of TV channel “inter” and its employees, which occurred on 4 September,” – said in a statement
