“Gazprom” has received from Turkey a resolution on “Turkish stream”


The head of “Gazprom” Alexei Miller said Wednesday that the project “Turkish stream” is moving to a practical implementation. The fact that Turkey granted the Russian company the first permission to start work.

As the press service of “Gazprom”, through diplomatic channels, the company has received from the authorities of Turkey’s first permission for the project “Turkish stream.” The decision on the resumption of the project was achieved this year. In the message quoted the head of “Gazprom” Alexei Miller, who called the transfer of Turkey permits positive news. He added that this reflects the interest of the Turkish government in the project and tells about the beginning of its implementation.

We will remind that on August 31 Stampede hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller and Minister of energy and natural resources of Turkish Republic of Berat Albayrak. It was at this meeting and was agreed to complete promptly the procedure of issuing all necessary permits for the beginning of the project “Turkish stream.”

Turkey is Russia’s second largest gas market after Germany. And consumption of “blue fuel” in the country is growing and the “Turkish stream” will help Russia to increase exports.

Currently, Russian gas supplies to Turkey are carried out on the gas pipeline “Blue stream” and TRANS-Balkan pipeline.
