Activists of the Belarusian youth opposition movement “Young front” held a rally on the border with Russia, the purpose of which was to prepare the Belarusian society to “resist Russian aggression”, reports “radio Svaboda”.
According to media reports, after a few minutes after the activists began to dig trenches (it was in 25 kilometers from the border with Russia), they were approached by a group of foresters and unknown people in civilian clothes.
Soon to the scene were also firefighters and armed police in bullet-proof vests.
In total 14 activists were arrested: they were accused of “soil disturbance” and are not appropriate to the requirements of the legislation of the first-aid kit in the car. In this regard they were subject to a 2 fine of 5 basic units each. In addition, they face an additional fee which can be up to 20 basic units (one basic unit in terms of is slightly less than 700 rubles).
In 76 kilometers from the venue of the action are Russian Klintsy, where in recent months actively shrink the Russian troops. Recall that in early June this year, the Russian Ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov has explained such contraction forces fears aggression in Ukraine against Russia.
