Astrobiologist offered to settle the bacteria on suitable planets for them

German planetary scientist Claudius Gross of the University of Frankfurt made a proposal to send to the planets, a potentially habitable, capsules with terrestrial microbes. This will allow us to conduct an experiment on the “start” of evolution beyond Earth, and in a few more long term, according to the researcher, it would help almost literally to prepare the ground for the establishment of extraterrestrial human colonies.

It is worth noting that professionals who are interested in the possibility of life on other planets, most of them adhere to a completely opposite philosophy that humanity should make every effort to ensure that even by accident not to allow terrestrial microorganisms to other planets. This is important not only because of fear that “aliens” replace the local microbes, but also to find out the bacteria, the scientists could affirm that on this planet do independently from Earth life began. In this regard, we can recall that recently reached Jupiter space probe Juno, completing the mission, intended to be sent to the gas giant’s atmosphere where it will burn. This precaution, according to scientists, will help to exclude the possibility that the space station will “infect” the life of one of the largest moons of Jupiter.

However, the scientist proposes a compromise solution – original send “germs of colonists on the planet where “private” life because of superspaces stars or other adverse conditions still did not have time to develop to any complex shapes, even if it is there.

His idea of a planetary scientist, presented on the pages of the scientific journal Astrophysics and Space Science.

Recently astronomers from the UK reported the discovery of a supposedly habitable planets orbiting the star Proxima Centauri. This planet is located at a distance of 4.2 light years from Earth, making it the closest potentially habitable exoplanet known.
