1 survey of 546 people aged 21 to 100 years, scientists have come to the conclusion that the older generation in General are set up in a more positive way than younger respondents. Older people were more satisfied with their life, less stress and more happiness, and also showed less outward signs of depression and feelings of anxiety. At the same time, according to experts, middle-aged respondents were quite aware that they age health and cognitive abilities begin to change mostly for the worse, but this did not prevent them to be happy.

Experts emphasize that their work should not be considered the ultimate truth because it says only about the mood not too a large number of people in a short period of time. However, scientists are not inclined to write off the results on the accident. As suggested by the psychologists, the older a person gets, the more he learns to enjoy the simple things that over time becomes the key to his happiness.

The results the researchers presented in the pages of the scientific publication The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry.

This is not the first study in which experts come to similar conclusion. At the end of February last year, a team from the University of Massachusetts asked 143 volunteers of different ages, what associations do they have a particular word. As it turned out, people were learning much more philosophical attitude to such concepts as “peace”, “sadness” and “loneliness”, not ashamed of these feelings and without feeling towards him disgust. Scientists have found is evidence that older people see the world more positive and generally feel more inner harmony than young people.
