The former Prime Minister of Portugal is the leader in the struggle for the post of UN Secretary General


Former Prime Minister of Portugal, antónio Guterres, after the third round of the secret ballot is a leader in the fight for the post of Secretary General of the UN, according to diplomats.

According to them, the UN security Council, 13 out of 15 voted to Guterres, two were against and one abstained.

The second was the foreign Minister of Slovakia Miroslav Lajcak, who voted for nine countries, with five against and one abstention.

It is noted that in the second round for the ex-Prime Minister of Portugal voted for 11 people, and in the round pen – 12.
