Bloomberg surveyed 21 economist about the prospects for the lifting of sanctions against Russia. If the detention of Ukrainian saboteurs 69% of respondents believed that the EU will remove restrictions in the next 12 months, now this point of view is shared by only 52% of respondents. The lifting of us sanctions, I believe it is only 10% (against 19% in the previous month).

“The deterioration of relations with Ukraine will undermine the confidence of investors, will maintain sanctions EU and the United States and enhance the outflow of foreign capital, Putin will not be focused on economic reforms. This will weaken the ruble and forced the Central Bank to pursue a more cautious policy,” said a senior analyst at Informa Global Markets Christopher Shils.

The story of “sabotage” in the Crimea will only alienate Moscow from easing the sanctions regime, says the analyst of Raiffeisen Bank International AG Andreas Schwab. “In the context of the hawkish Chancellor Angela Merkel’s probability of lifting the sanctions during the year is unlikely. Moreover, to start the process needed a more flexible position of Moscow, which at the moment make concessions not agree,” — said the economist.

FSB August 10, announced the arrest in Crimea several Ukrainian military, who intended to sabotage on the Peninsula. Vladimir Putin, commenting on the incident, accused Ukraine of provocations in order to divert attention from “the plunder of their people.” At the same time in Kyiv deny the charges.
