The state Department did not comment on the detention of Russians in Yerevan

The state Department has not commented on the detention of the Russian citizen Sergei Mironov, RIA Novosti reported with reference to head of the press service of the state Department’s Elizabeth Trudeau.

“Thank you for your inquiry. We will get back to you in case you will be able to provide you comments on this subject,” – stated in the message.

Earlier it was reported that Russian Sergey Mironov, detained at the airport in Yerevan on August 26, is a suspect in money laundering and illegal transfer of military technology. It was noted that at the request of the U.S. he was declared internationally wanted.
