Turkish media meanwhile reported that the border with Syria have crossed the Turkish 10-15 tanks and special forces, as the country came under Turkish military airstrike and shelling.

The official version of these events is to support the Syrian opposition in the liberation of the border city Jarablus, however, experts believe that the invasion of Turkey can extend to 90-kilometer zone near the border.

Erdogan also said that Turkey in recent years has sheltered the millions of Syrian brothers,” not having received the promise EU 3 billion euros, in connection with which is compelled to deal with the situation.

The invasion could escalate into a protracted war with the Kurds, as has already been stated the leader of “Democratic Union” Salih Muslim: according to him, Turkey “inevitably bogged down in the Syrian swamp”, as it has already happened with the “Islamic state”.

However, the Turkish authorities expect a more successful campaign: the local press notes that the invasion they are timed to the 500th anniversary of the battle of Marj Dabic near Aleppo, which fell to the Mamluk Sultanate and the Ottoman Empire in the 4th century further strengthened its dominance in the region.
