McFaul twice congratulated Ukraine on the independence Day of the wrong flag

Former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul failed in two attempts to congratulate Ukraine on independence Day. The fact that in his first post in social networks McFaul published “yellow and blue”, and black-and-yellow flag. The second color is correct, but the flag upside down.

McFaul even had to apologize to the Ukrainian people: “we Tried to publish a Ukrainian flag from the house, but offended many the wrong color (for background) or inverted picture,” — he wrote in his Facebook, urging not to pay to this all attention.

In the comments ex-Ambassador still showed the correct Ukrainian flag Day which was celebrated yesterday.
