Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa signed a decree that created a unified state media holding. Innovation involve a merger with a government newspaper Telegrafo state-owned Television y Radio de Ecuador and the Agency Andes.
The holding, which started this Monday, will be called
Medios Publicos de cominicacion del Ecuador and will be considered a state enterprise.
The leader of Ecuador has warned that it has become unnecessary posts will be abolished, but after retesting the ex-employees will be able to go to work in a new venture.
