Politicians have commented. A Belarusian athletes have declared their intention to enter during the opening ceremony of the Paralympic games not only with their flags, but also flags of Russia, to support Russian athletes.

Film Director Alexander Proshkin, who viewers know the movie “Cold summer of fifty third”, “Doctor Zhivago”, “Russian revolt”, “to See Paris and die”, is in these days in Dagestan, a part of canadalegal festival of films about human rights “Stalker”. In Makhachkala he presents his new film “the Guard”. Despite the distance he shared with “MK” their feelings about what happened.

– How do you assess what happened? It does not matter, you are interested in sport or not. I think that any of us feel the separation from our Paralympic Games in Brazil in the same way. Of course, it is a complete disgrace. Disgusting when politics is mixed with sports. Paralympic athletes are heroes, amazing people who overcome terrible illness and pain. How can you deprive them of the meaning of existence? Why did this happen? Perhaps there is something in addition to policies. It’s hard for me to judge. But guys sorry. I feel guilty in front of them. We are all guilty that are unable to protect them. Very sorry to the wonderful people who are victims of political conflicts and political games.
