Toczynski, who are on duty better than any other Ukrainian officials know about the plans of the EU towards Ukraine, smashed hopes of a speedy granting of visa-free regime. According to him, he had not yet seen one (of the project) report of the Council of the EU and the Council there was no discussion of a visa-free regime. “From diplomats of member countries of this position, I also have not heard” – he told reporters in Kiev. Moreover, he said that “there is already a draft report to the European Parliament, and where such position no” and stated that he sees no reason to link the visa-free regime of Ukraine with the EU by 2017. That is, in the coming year this will happen is unlikely.

How so? After Monday the Minister of foreign Affairs Klimkin at a General meeting of the ambassadors of the country said he expects the granting Ukraine visa-free regime during the coming months. “And for me this is not a technical process which applies to travel without visas. First of all, it is a sign that the EU acknowledges the European identity of Ukraine” — he said. And on the eve, President Poroshenko assured that before the “bezveze” only a matter of weeks. “I am convinced that in the near future the European Union will make a decision only a few weeks left before we open the “visa-free door into a United Europe for Ukrainians”, – he assured. It is a pity that the European Union about this do not know. And confirmed honest Ambassador to the EU.
