One of the organizers of the event were the Chairman of the NGO “Crimean Republican anti-corruption Committee” Ilya Bolshedvorov. He said in his Facebook that the rally was illegally banned by the authorities, but come the participants approved a resolution which essentially is an appeal to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
Earlier, the organizers announced that they have a letter from the interior Ministry and the city administration that the meeting is permitted. They intended to gather about a thousand people. But then in the local media have reported that the event conduct is not permitted. As reports “Echo of Moscow” in the end on Saturday in the square in front of the Palace of trade unions still left a few dozen people, but the representatives of law enforcement agencies said that the event was not coordinated and should take place. In the end, were detained several people, and the remaining members dispersed.
However, the resolution of the event, with criticism of local authorities, was published. The authors of the document, referring to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, reported that in the region there was a “difficult social situation” due to “rampant corruption” and “disregard for the citizens” by the local authorities.

The appeal States that in Simferopol people evicted from their hostels on the street and they now have nowhere to live. Thus in one of the dormitories, according to the authors of the appeal, settled a kind of public organization “people’s militia – the Self-defense of the Crimea”, which receives funding from the budget.
Also the authors complained about the poor organization meropriyatiy urban development of the Crimea, in particular the removal and cleaning of garbage on intermediaries that collect money for utilities. It is also reported that teachers and health workers in the region live below the poverty line. The document also criticized the bad roads, not ensuring free access to the beaches, construction of buildings in parks and the coastal zone.
The authors of the appeal ask the Russian President to stop believing “social surveys” and to pay attention to the real situation in the Crimea. They also promised to send Vladimir Putin a letter with a description of specific situations reported by the participants of the meeting. Supporters of this event hope that the Russian President will help them with these problems.
