The Pentagon reassured Poroshenko: Russia is in no hurry to attack Ukraine

The Pentagon stated that they did not consider the accumulation of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine, preparing for an immediate invasion. Analysts believe that the increase of the Russian group is more like the establishment of a permanent presence of influence on Kiev.

“This long-term trend, nothing new happens”, – said the interlocutor of the newspaper The Wall Street Journal.

It is worth noting that on the eve President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said about the possibility of imminent invasion of the Russian army, stressing that the APU is “ready to repulse the enemy.”

A similar view was expressed by the representative of the Department of the Main intelligence Directorate of the defense Ministry of Ukraine Vadim Skibitsky. In his opinion, the Russian military will start offensive from the Crimea, as the Peninsula is concentrated rather large group of troops.

In turn, the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova ironically commented on the loud statements from Kiev. “We do not understand what he is talking about Poroshenko and what about a full-scale invasion. It is difficult to understand what he basically says,” – she said.
