British engineers have tested a unique aircraft

The world’s largest aircraft — hybrid aircraft, helicopter and airship Airlander 10 – took to the skies in the UK. The test flight lasted about half an hour, reports the Associared Press.

Helium-filled aircraft is able to stay in the air for two weeks. The ship is designed in such a way as to waste less fuel than plane, but carry far greater loads.

According to the developer of Hybrid Air Vehicles, the Airlander 10 can rise to a height of nearly five miles and develop a speed up to 150 kilometers per hour. To develop a hybrid vessel, the UK authorities have spent more than $ 3.7 million.
