The Serbian President refused to introduce anti-Russian sanctions in favor of the West


The Serbian President refused to impose sanctions against Russia, even if this requires a common EU foreign policy. The leader of the country said at a meeting with the Vice-President of the USA Joe Biden in Belgrade.

“We can’t impose sanctions on Russia if it involves the enforcement of the agreement’s foreign policy,” said Tomislav Nikolic.

During the talks they also discussed the relations of Belgrade with Pristina. Nikolic stated that citizens of Serbia there is no better option than the path to the European Union. However, he noted that it is not ready to sign with the Kosovo document, which would be interstate in nature.
