Turkish military leader seeking asylum in the U.S.

The Turkish captain, whose name was not disclosed, is seeking asylum in the U.S. after the recent coup attempt in Turkey.

As reports Reuters with reference to sources in the command of the armed forces of the United States, the commander was on a business trip and was assigned to the headquarters command of one of the structures of NATO in Norfolk. Last month received a warrant for his arrest. He did not obey the orders of his superiors to return to Ankara.
