British singer ed Sheeran was accused of plagiarism


British singer-songwriter ed Sheeran was accused of plagiarism. A lawsuit filed in Federal court in new York.

As reported by Reuters, the lawsuit was filed by the heirs of composer ed Townsend – one of the authors of the song Marvin Gaye “Let’s Get It On” 1973. In their opinion, Sheeran used the elements of this song when writing their hit song “Thinking Out Loud”.

The amount of compensation demanded by the plaintiffs from Sheeran, is not specified.
