In Russia there will be public apartment houses

The country’s first social rental housing will be in Moscow, Kazan and Tomsk, the press service of the Ministry of the Russian Federation.

In the first phase of the pilot project will create a rent Fund with a total area of 60 thousand sq. m. it will include only apartment small area, especially popular on the market. To build rental houses would be the investors and the government then redeems these objects in whole or in part.

Rent for apartments in such houses will be lower than the market average. People who can not afford to buy their own homes, will be able to enter into a contract with government for the long term, but privatizing them is not able.

It is clarified that in addition to the pilot of Moscow, Kazan and Tomsk, to establish a rental housing consider other major Metropolitan area of the city with a population of over 1 million people, which was already a demand for this type of housing.

Head of ATS IRN Oleg Repchenko believes that the current economic realities of the rental housing will be widely used: “during the crisis, many citizens money to buy an apartment, even a mortgage, just no. The business of apartment houses we have for a very long time was not developed, but now it is expedient, especially with the support of the state to buy housing at market prices, then to take, unprofitable”.

“It’s not about hiring a social when a person gets housing on preferential terms. The more a person will be to remove this housing, the faster you will pay off the house. And hence the more likely investors will go to the project”, — said Repchenko.
