As reported on the website of the Service, the reason for the initiation of the case was the complaint of one of the citizens who applied to the Federal Antimonopoly service in connection with the fact that 16 major Resellers of smartphones of the company in October 2015, the prices for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S were the same.

As a result to date of the investigation, according to the FAS, it was found that the price after the new models were, indeed, identical for a certain time. Furthermore, it is also found in relation to other models of smartphones.

Antimonopoly service suggests that this identical value was due to the fact that Apple had imposed Russian firms, their recommended prices as binding.
