Nino Burjanadze denied entry to Ukraine

The foreign Ministry of Ukraine has decided to punish Pro-Russian statements of the regular character of the Rose Revolution, the ex-speaker of the Georgian Parliament and leader of the party “Democratic movement” Nino Burjanadze. The corresponding letter, in addition to the bodies of the security service, sent out several non-governmental organizations, more than a year insist on banning Georgian politician to visit Ukraine.

In July last year Burjanadze, made a visit to Moscow, expressed to reporters his views on the ownership of the Crimea. According to her, the Peninsula belongs to the Russian Federation and its status will be saved. “This is not a Pro-Russian stance, it is a simple statement of fact,” – said Mrs. Burjanadze. Commenting on shortly before the appointment of Mikhail Saakashvili, the Governor of the Odessa region, the former ally of ex-President of Georgia called this choice of Petro Poroshenko “a slap in the face to the government of Georgia and the Georgian people”. The phrase was interpreted in Kiev as an attempt to interfere in the internal personnel policy of the presidential administration of Ukraine.
