The authorities of Russia and Ukraine again failed to agree. This time the bone of contention was the candidacy of Ambassador of Russia in the Square. The Kremlin has offered to replace the dismissed 28 July Vladimir Putin from the post Mikhail Zurabov Mikhail Babich, who held the post of Plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal district. However, the Ukrainian side responded to this proposal with a refusal. Now, formally, Russia does not have its Ambassador in Ukraine.

That the candidacy of Mr. Babic would not be considered the official Kiev, said Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Elena zerkal.
“In the same format as it was put, the question of the appointment of Babich removed from the agenda” – said zerkal on the air of Ukrainian “Fifth channel”.
According to Ukrainian Deputy Minister, this situation should not have a significant impact on the interaction between the two countries.
“We decided this question is still 2014, withdrawing the Ambassador of Ukraine in Russia. Currently we have a chargé d’affaires and since we are limited in Russia a normal job. Besides the previous extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, the Russian Ambassador Mikhail Zurabov to a number of reasons, has played a minimal role in shaping the relations between our countries. So, I’m sure the situation IACEE not seriously affect the interaction between Russia and Ukraine”, – she noted.
In a press-service of the Kremlin has not commented the statement of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry, stressing that the negotiations on the establishment of a diplomatic representative of the Russian Federation in Ukraine will continue.Related posts:
