Erdogan intends to discuss with Putin the crisis of the downed su-24 bomber


President Recep Tayyip Erdogan revealed his plans for the trip to St. Petersburg, where on 9 August he will meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

He said that he was going to discuss the crisis in Russian-Turkish relations caused by the destruction of the Turkish air force Russian su-24 bomber. Another topic of discussion will be economic cooperation between the two countries, Erdogan hoped.

After a failed attempt of a coup d’etat, the Turkish authorities reported that the pilots of the Turkish air force shot down the su-24, was involved in the rebellion. Turkish officials said that the pilots made the decision to shoot down Russian military aircraft.
