Under the new rules Ryanair, parents will have to pay 4 pounds or 4 euros for a selected location near the children. The reservation chair for a child will also be required, but free. “This rule will be able to prevent problem situations, like those that get in the customers who have paid for the selection and reservation of a seat, but in crowded planes forced to change,” said Director of marketing for Ryanair, Kenny Jacobs.
According to him, this summer Ryanair flights heavily loaded (load average is about 94%), and parents who do not reserve a place near the children, often forcing crews to transplant clients who had paid in advance for choosing superior places from 4 to 20 pounds. Since the beginning of autumn booking of tickets for seats next to their children for such passengers will no longer be free.
It is noteworthy that the European public is very calm greeted this news, while recent information that the Russian loukoster “Victory” is allegedly planning to do the same thing, caused great repercussions and criticism in the media.
Russian airline immediately denied all the reports in the press about her plans to divide parents and children on the plane. As stressed in the press service of the carrier, for flights “Victory” child up to 12 years will get a place next to one of the parents or with a companion without paying additional fees. In the future, “Victory” does not intend to change this rule.
Airline Ryanair was founded in 1985 and initially served just one route between the Irish Waterford and London on a 15-seat Embraer Bandeirante. A characteristic feature of this carrier is that to reduce the cost for the ticket he does many services are paid.
