US Ambassador to Ukraine: sanctions against Russia should be tougher

U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Jeffrey Payette in an interview with Der Standard said that the security situation in Ukraine is deteriorating.

“The OSCE monitors still have problems with tolerance”, – he added.

According to Payette, is to force Russia to observe the Minsk agreements not to succumb to the view that sanctions don’t work and they need to cancel

“On the contrary, if sanctions do not work, they need to toughen up” he said.
