Oleksandr Yefremov, head of the Party of regions faction in the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation, on Saturday morning was detained by the General Prosecutor’s office. As explained in the Facebook the head of the GP Yuriy Lutsenko on suspicion in infringement of territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine”.
61-year-old politician during the presidency of Leonid Kuchma headed the Luhansk regional state administration (1998-2005). During the formation of the LC Efremov regularly spoke in Parliament of Ukraine with the requirement not to prosecute supporters of the Donbass people’s republics. The General Prosecutor’s office checked on Alexander on the subject of involvement in the financing of the supporters of the LC.
14 Feb 2015 Yefremov was detained by the Prosecutor General and the SBU. He had selected the documents for travel abroad and taken a pledge not to leave Kyiv without the permission of the investigator.Related posts:
