Poroshenko asked to legalize prostitution for the sake of pensioners

On the website of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appeared the petition to legalize prostitution in the country. Confused, says the author of the document, due to the payment of taxes could replenish the budget and the pension Fund of the country.

The author of the petition stated that such measures will enable to get the funds to the state budget and the pension Fund, spending on which now exceeds three times the expenditure on the army.

In addition, the document says, after the legalization of prostitution, the state could take control of the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

The author of the petition said that illegal prostitution is widely spread on the territory of the country. At the time of writing the petition was signed by more than 20 people (it is necessary to collect 25 thousand).

In October last year, a Verkhovna Rada Deputy and adviser to the interior Minister of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko suggested to submit the question of the legalization of prostitution in a nationwide referendum.

Earlier in the Parliament was registered a draft law “On regulation of activity of prostitution and sex establishments”. The author of the initiative said the need of the civilized regulation of prostitution by the state and attended social benefits prostitutes.
