Medvedev warned the Russians about the “optimization” of social spending


Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that Russia will again be “optimized” social spending in the budget, reports TASS.

His statement he made at the meeting for three-year budget for 2017-2019, which discussed spending on health care, education, culture and pensions.

According to Medvedev, the optimization will represent a redistribution of funds on the most important social programs and getting rid of inefficient spending, with specific examples, he did not.

But he added that the priorities remain medical, availability of medicines, education and pensions. Of these costs, the Premier asked to reserve the necessary money.
