Experiments with costumes continue: space crew dressed in knightly

While the Russians rapidly discuss the costumes of their Olympic team, made avant-garde design, the future crew of the spacecraft “Soyuz MS-03” affects all commitment to the style of the medieval.

Photo on which the commander of the crew, Russians Oleg Novitsky, Frenchman Thomas Sands and American Peggy Whitson depicted in the form of medieval knights and noble ladies, appeared on the page pesquet in Instagram. Their flight to the ISS, scheduled for November 16, 2016. Callsign crew — “Kazbek”.

This flight will be the first for 36-year-old, the youngest in the European space Agency astronaut Thomas Sands, the second for commander Oleg Novitsky and the third for NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson.

The crew will perform many scientific experiments. In particular,

The sand will have to conduct a series of experiments in the field of biology and technology. One of the experiments will be carried out with the atomic clock Pharao, built at the National center of space studies of France. Their testimony is the Sand to compare with readings of a similar device on Earth in order to test the theory of relativity.

In addition the mission of Sand is not without performance. Tom will get into space a few sheets of paper from which to cut out the word “moi” which means “I”. Paper letters floating in the living compartment of the space station will need to divert the astronauts from more serious work.
